hey guys, its been years since ive done seo, so obviosuly everything has changed. that and i used to do CPA and so yeah what im doing now is completely different.

my friend gave me his website its a limousine company in las vegas. i need to somehow magically get this thing listed up top.
now i know there is a million guides etc etc all over this place.
id rather hear it... well read it from someone who knows whats up, not just another tutorial on how to do crap.
currently i am ranked page 8 for the main domain keyword
of coure i do want to have other keywords to be ranked for, but its more complicated then throwing some shit in meta data and letting it sit.
if anyone can help me point me in the right direction i mean backlinks i know you want quality of quantity
if anyone knows of a decent service that isnt expensive as hell like most
but mainly id like to get some ideas on where to go what to do purely because i would like to learn a little more.

anyways
if anyone cares the site is here
not listing actually url on this post for obvious reason

Yes, backlinks. That seems to be the main problem. There's only a handful of decent ones. You're already on the right track by realizing this. Unfortunately I haven't got anyone to recommend in this space.

If you can, remove the non-working and otherwise useless links from the site. There's "blog/news" that leads to empty page, and "subscribe" (in the footer) that leads to RSS feed. These links take your valuable link juice and route it to dead ends for no good reason, and make the site look unprofessional too.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

The site needs some cleaning up. As mentioned above, there are a lot of dead links that should be fixed/removed. I would also clean up stuff like the social buttons. They are in the top header and repeated again in the footer. Those are wasted links which make all of your internal links weaker. I would get rid of the header links personally, but either way pick one or the other, not both.

As this is a local business, I would work on citation building in local business directories like Yelp, Foursquare, iBegin, BOTW, etc.

After that, I would reach out to other local businesses about getting a link. Maybe there are some event coordinators or local hotels that have used the service before that would be willing to link to it. Anyone who is a regular client or recommends the business to clients of theirs I would be in contact with.

    That's where I would start.

I imagine in Vegas that this is a pretty competitive industry, so you likely have your work cut out for you.

Back in the Golden era of Vegas in terms of online growth ( late 90's early 2000's ) I was a part of developing a hotel rooms site that ended up being sold to a big player in the travel industry. so to say the least I am very familiar with the Las Vegas Online landscape.

The first thing I have noticed with your site is you are not defining packages probably as well as you should. Bach and rette parties as an example.. lay out itinerary ideas. a couple of them. 2 hour 4 hour and 6 hour deals. hit the street and work out deals to get special discounts at the places you "Suggest" at the same time work out reciprocal linking for the sites.

And the same is true with all of your "Service" Golf - another example there are what 40 total courses across 30 total properties. When you think about things in this framework, look at your current pricing table compared to what it could be. How the heck do I know what courses are in "City Limits" and which ones are not. you could list the course and the pricing.. at that point.. you could have a "book now" button on there. oh but wait... they may not know what Golf Course they are paying yet... then why not offer that?

I would say in Vegas.. you are far to focused on the vehicles, and not the service itself. yeah your limo's are cool, but its not the car its the overall experience you should be selling.

Vegas is very in the future oriented.. CES as an example already has its schedule set for the next 5 years. Back in the day I used to employ what we called "Future SEO" based on those events... "don't get left walking, have your entire team arrive in style" your site should already have content like "CES Limo Service 2016" "CES Limo Service 2017" "CES Limo Service 2018" "CES Limo Service 2019" and you and I both know there are a kick ton of these type of events through out the year.

Without question your site needs to shift more towards the service and less from the vehicles themselves. Start pinpointing specific dates where they are in demand and target those folks. and develop more content.. as in way more.. your pages are super light - as in Get hit by Panda light.

but seriously savidge4 your information is very informative and helpful, if its ok with you i may have a few questions for you down the line, if you can possibly help me a little more.

    Hey Taslayer-'
It would actually be pretty easy to fix that site...here's some quick things wrong...

*keyword tags messed up (missing) but are using kewyords in description in title

*Your sites ip is not redirect to your sites main domain. this could cause content duplication with the search engines

*Your server appears to allow access from User-agent Libwww-perl. Botnet scripts that automatically look for vulnerabilities in your software are sometimes identified as User-Agent libwww-perl. By blocking access from libwww-perl you can eliminate many simpler attacks

*Backlinks are not really there and no social media

    Then on the design...
    *JS Minification Test
*Some of your website's JavaScript files are not minified
    *CSS Minification Test
*Some of your website's CSS files are not minified

When i did clients, i worked with quite a few limo/shuttle companies. There's more but even those would help you a lot. I took a look at competiton and it would be easy to rank on some kewyords, especially with more targeted.

as far as security goes, i do not host the site (yet) i actually do security, but i was asked to take on this project so i figured id take a whack at it.
more focused on the SEO as of now, ill worry about security when it gets to one of my servers. ill look into optimizing the css and the js on the siet, also ill look into the keywords, but can you be more specific as to the keyword tags being messed up?

the sites ip could be causing duplicate content so want to check that, definitely needs backlinks and as far as the basic coding, there's things wrong but in the keyword tags if notice...

line 14 is title...description tag 33 but didn't see keyword meta tags (some people will tell you don't need anymore, but google still does recognize)

There's some other issues man but like said focus on those things and work on the backlinks and you'd be way better off.
