How to get keyword of third page to first

Hello Guys,
I have one keyword with 1000 searches monthly and medium competition. Right now it is on 21st position. I want to optimize this keyword local in my city. This is four word long tail keyword.

Now i want to know what strategy and activities should i follow to get this keyword on top 5 positions.
Please i want specific answers from experienced and masters of this field. Beginners please stay away, i don't want spam in my thread,

    Have you optimized the landing page effectively? Does your landing page includes the keyword in Title, H tags & content?

      Raxix Mohali could you please explain what kind of website's you are referring to and what activity should i follow to get backlinks from those website's, I have already mentioned please reply with specific answer.

      If you are doing Local SEO there is no need of that. I mean, of course it would help but it would make more sense if you try to create a link from a page of your city: Local newspaper, church, bulletin board...

      If you are a business as DABK said, Google+ would help you, as well as submit the details to webpages as yelp, foursquare,... The Address and telephone should be exactly the same in every page. Using Schema marking on your site would help too.

      If I were you I would target "keyword+city" "keyword+ neighbourhood" it would be easier to reach the first page.

      Find some local businesses with websites that are related to what your site is about (but not direct competitors, obviously) and offer them well-written articles on topics of interest to THEIR visitors... If you do local, you don't need that much.

      Geotag some photos, upload them to your site (add them to blog posts or pages).

      If you're a local company, do it for your Google + page too.

      Geotag: save an image on your computer, right click on it, fill in info, save.

    Firstly, you need to know whether your website is optimized according to the algorithms of Google or not. Secondly, you have to make blogs for your website with the insertion of those keywords which you want to rank in first page of Google. But, usage of keywords for only 2 to three time that with different URL's of your web pages could help you to rank your website easily.

    Apart from that, you need to do SEO for your website in high PR sites so that you can spread your business awareness all over the world easily and quickly as well.
