Just curious, aside from forum signatures, social media, is there a step by step guide on how to create backlinks.

My site is fairly new with a little over a month. My blog posts don't rank. They're indexed but are not ranking. I submit the post url to google, they will rank at around 141 using sersp for a few hours, come back next day and serps shows no results. These posts are all no competition barely any searches, but I just want to rank for anything to know if it is possible, I can't rank for shit. That is why I'm asking if backlinks will resolve this issue, and I don't know how to approach it.

Something else is likely causing the heartburn. You should be able to rank for keywords that SERPS are starved for content on with no backlinks. It could be a combination of you are not really understanding the keyword research results properly, you are misreading the competition, or perhaps the on-page seo and keyword density are hurting you.

I'll walk you through how I went about it...

I find 3 long tail keywords, no more than 50 searches a month (like I said I want to rank for anything just to see if I actually can rank.. yea I'm desperate)

Although the competition says low in google keyword tools I download it in Excel form and look at the competition, usually those keywords have no more than 0.05 or 5/100 competition, very low, or no competition at all..
I right the content, no less than 500 words, and I use Yoast to make sure its good rating.
Again I know Yoast is not gonna do anything but I want to guarantee on-page SEO is good.

Lastly I post the article, submit link to google, and it gets indexed. After 10 minutes of submitting the post, I check serps and it ranks around 120-140, come back the next day and it serps is 0, no results, nothing.

      help?? Please? Thanks warriors

50 searches a month is not enough info. What if it's got $100cpc? If that's the case then I'd think your competition will be optimized really well because there is significant commerciality with the keywords.

That competition "research" you are doing with the planner is not enough. I meant you need to look at the first page results and see what you are up against.

        I would look into:

        What is the allintitle result
On-page work (Title, Description, H-tags, and all of those things that matter)
        Keyword density
Bump up the 500 words to 1000 of GOOD content
Give it more than 10 minutes.

  • No you should not only rely on the number of your backlinks when it comes to checking out why your pages are not still raking.

What you should do is to check your onpage SEO as well. Check if the pages are properly optimized and if the website is not set to "no follow"/"no index". Try to also check your website speed and see when is your website last cache date is.

Then of course, quantity of backlinks is no longer that valuable when it comes to ranking your website. You need to build more quality backlinks.

    I hope that helps!

Backlink plays more value while ranking site. You should go for low competitive keyword.
Target some low competitive keywords but profitable. As you are new- you can target about 800-1000 monthly searches keyword to get good results. Try Google adwords Keyword planner Tool for researching keyword.

And, after completing on page SEO properly, then it is time to do off page seo like backlink building.

    For this-

Search with your keyword on google and try to make backlink on these sites you get by searching.
Make quality backlink to rank better.
    Hope this help-

Try to create Quality backlinks from high authority web sites.Keep in mind quality is important rather than the quantity. One quality backlink is vital rather than the thousands of low quality spam backlinks.

There are few criteria to check quality of the backlink
    1. Domain Age
    2. Domain Authority and page authority
    3. OBL links in the page
    4. Contextual link (URL in the post content)
    5. Link dofollow or nofollow
    7. Quality and Uniqueness of the content

I do think backlinks would help. I wouldn't rely on just back links but I do think they will help boost your rankings a bit. You can do 1 of 2 things (or both) if you would like.

    1. Create a PBN to help boost your money sites
    2. Pay to have an article placed on a high metrics site that links back to your site.

You should also keep your site and its content fresh by adding 1 article each week. This will also help to expand your keywords and help rank your site better.

I believe you are expecting results so fast. You don't know anything about SEO and you are blaming different techniques. As you have new website which is almost a month old so you have to wait for minimum 6 months to even get in top three pages.

There is no guaranty for this too because if you will do over optimization to a new website then it will be result in lost of rankings. You need to build as many quality links as you can and show patience for results because your competitors may be years older than you.

There are number of guides that you can follow which includes Neil Patel link building and beginner guide and the best one: Moz guide for beginner in SEO.
