  • Question is about "white hat" SEO, and the first two replies include stuff that's essentially gaming the system by posting low quality content and spamming forums. Typical.

    If you want "white hat", publish content and try to get other site owners to link to your content. Doesn't probably give you "very much" traffic unless one of your pieces goes viral in such a scale that people start googling for it.

  • The best way to get traffic is without SEO. Three ways:

    1. Find the best sites on your profession that allow for guest posting and start writing useful articles, posting them on these sites.
    2. Start a low-budget campaign using Google Display Network or Facebook. With $2-3/day you can get 100 people coming to your site,which is 2400 visitors per month (- weekends). If your site is correctly set, you should land at least a couple every month.
    3. Find 100 forums that may support discussions on your profession and start helping people out. This will also do wonders for your SEO too-just make sure your siggies allow for dofollow links (unlike worriorforum)

      Open this thread in firefox. Select a link in someone's signature, right click on it, read the code: you'll see rel=nofollow. That means the link carries no importance in SEO.

      You do forum posting to show people you know what you're talking about, that you can be trusted. So they click on your link and, maybe, buy.

      You don't do it for SEO.

  • That's kind of an oxymoron - "SEO" and "very much traffic at a short time" don't really belong in the same sentence.

    SEO is a long game, it's amazingly effective when done well over time, but it takes time and consistent effort. If you think you can get fast results with SEO, you're probably going to be be disappointed.

    If you need fast results, then look into paid advertising, pay per click, banner advertising and re-targeting, highly targeted facebook dark posts.

    What I love about SEO though in comparison to paid advertising, is that it provides residual results. When you pay for traffic and then you stop paying, the traffic stops instantly. When you have invested heavily into SEO done well, the results can continue to come in for a long time after the work has been done.

    The only fast results you'll get with SEO are less competitive terms, and the lowest hanging fruit tends to be the least tasty which is why it's hanging there - in other words if it's easy to rank for it's probably not going to be life changing in terms of the impact on your business.

    Having said the above, there are instances with particular kinds of industries or markets where the results are much quicker than anticipated, this is rare, as it usually requires that the demand far outweighs the supply. For instance if you are within a very old fashioned industry where many of your biggest competitors aren't yet online, or have tend to have terrible websites with "Home page" as the page title, and for which the online demand for the related product or service outweighs the supply, then you may be in luck - but you also might win the lottery and the chances may be similar

    • Most likely, it will have no direct bearing on SEO: forums have nofollow links. Nofollow links, according to Google (or, more precisely, Matt Cutts, on his blog, do not pass PageRank or Anchor. Or, as Google's representative Matt Cutts put it: Nofollow links do not help get higher rank in Google.

      Go to an orthodontist and ask him to link to the page you want to rank. Then go to another, then another.

      Also, do the same with other local businesses.

      If you can't get any links, build a few websites in the dental industry...

      Build one for teeth cleaning toronto, one for wisdom tooth extraction Toronto, etc., link to your main site from those sites.

      Create a few videos, post them on youtube, embed them on your site, in your Google + page, on your facebook page, on your linkedin... Get the picture?

      Make sure they have useful content (useful to whoever you want as clients), use the words
      toronto dentist, toronto dental practice, etc. (but no keyword stuffing, please) in the title, write a nice description/transcription. Make sure to link to your site from the descriptions...

      Vimeo, dailymotion, flickr, are a few other sites you can post your videos.

    • Yes, we know, guest-posting is not so easy. It is, however, one way of getting backlinks.

      May I suggest, you create your own blogs, ask yourself permission to guest-post on those blogs, then allow yourself to give yourself a contextual backlinks (or two) without adding the nofollow tag?

      The more authority a website has, the less inclined the site owner to allow random people to guest-post.

      The more authority a website has, the more inclined the site owner to get darn good content. Draw your own conclusions.

      If you have a method, share... otherwise, why kill so many pixels for nothing?

    Above statements will help you some extend but original fact they knows how difficult to bypass traffic.

    First of all you should analysis your competitors and then think how to get good traffic. But in my experience its not easy to grab traffic because every business have there own traffic and also people are very smart they know what business people are acting in social media or other promotion ways.

    My views: If you are running online shopping better to focus on facebook or if are running an IT related you should focus on Google+ and linkedin.
