I need help finding a source

Hi,

I've made a few calls around trying to find a company to help me rank content I have on:
  1. iTunes
  2. Amazon
  3. Udemy (soon)

Everyone I talked to seemed to be a bit perplexed. I did random Google searches and started calling. ZERO gave me any confidence that I would be safe spending my money with them. They were all focused on my site which I would never in a million years spend one red cent to rank given the $100k / mo some guys spend, that I cannot match.

Thus, I am hoping to get some recommendations of companies who know how to rank content on those platforms for hyper competitive keywords.

Thanks for your help!

  • As far as itunes and amazon, it's all about downloads for the most
part. Nobody is going to get you downloads without advertising.

You must market your stuff like a madman, and probably give it
away for free for a short time. No worries there, just put an ad to
a money site smack in the middle of it. When it does start to
rank, take it off the free list, now start charging.

Obviously if you are in an obscure category, obscure words, you
rank. But nobody's downloading. Check what people are downloading
    the most.

Nobody is going to rank you with any any magic potion.

You need tons of people buying, great feedback.

  • Not sure about the other two, but on Amazon you should check out the list of best sellers for similar products. What are their titles? What are their keywords?
For example: if looking at eBooks, you can search for a topic and then click on best sellers to see which titles are at the top of the list. Can you emulate their titles?

    • Thanks Paul. I've researched this for over a year now and understand that downloads are as important - if not more important than back links. My problem is bandwidth. Hiring a firm to execute on this stuff. I am happy to buy my e-book for hundreds of business owners to shoot up the amazon ranking system. I rank for one term currently in Google for a moderately competitive term. Took two years of my DOING NOTHING but receiving royalty checks from AMZN. So, I figure if I do SOMETHING for a hyper competitive term, that should help....

But, I am unable to execute on all of this stuff alone.

The list of best sellers for similar products does not apply to me as much because I am in B2B... Not IM... I am attacking a keyword to backdoor my way into Google. So, I started with compelling content, careful keyword selection, and now I just need to get ranked.

  • Sorry, misread the question. It looks like you meant ranking them
on google for what is on itunes, amazon?

Have you tried putting in in google books?
