Question About Ranking A Youtube Video

Lately I have been working with some youtube videos, and trying to gather some info on how to rank them on Google. I have heard from various people that if there are no videos ranking on the first page of my targeted keyword, then it's not worth it since the video will not rank, or it will be hard to.


What do you guys think? Should it matter if there are no youtube videos ranking on the first page?

    It doesn't matter if no video is ranking on the first page for your keywords. Besides, you didn't state of you were talking Google or YouTube ranking.

    In my opinion, if you are confident that your keyword is good to go then optimize your title, description, tag and build some backlinks where applicable.

    IT mattters, but it is not the only factor to choice whether to rank a video or not.

    I mainly want to rank the video on google. I will give it a go, and rather on focusing if there are videos ranking I will do my best with SEO and backlinks. Thanks guys.

    If a video isn’t ranking on the first page of results its invisible; right? And it only takes a bit of hard work and time to get it to rank. So why not!
    Get your keywords right. Then make sure your video is at least 5 minutes long because in our experience longer videos tend to rank better. Don’t forget YouTube SEO i.e. make sure the KWs are included in the file name, title, description, tags etc.
