Which mistakes do I need to avoid in SEO today?

What did they tell you? I can't tell you what mistakes to avoid since there's basically unlimited amounts of mistake that a person can make with respect to SEO, but I can tell you best practices.

Posting Duplicate content, using low PR and Low quality website for backlinks, creating paid links, etc. are common mistake in the SEO field I think these mistake need to avoid and correct it if you want to get clean, organic and natural ranking for your website.

In on page don't copy content from other website because google thought that spam and your keywords will never rank in the search engine,

Off page don't follow link exchange strategy to create a backlink it is also one of the draw backs.

i think that message gone for all webmaster user for JS and Css crawling related. and i agree with this .because its right .If you recived any other issue related to on page .
First think is Duplicate content on your site.
Any technical error on your site like robots.txt,sitemap,...may be.

Not only do you know want to have duplicate content, but also you don't want thin content. Content that provides no real value. In terms of linking, yes you don't want bad backlinks, but something else people overlook, are bad badlinks. This could mean links that Google thinks someone paid you to put on your own site.

Just to be safe, use the nofollow tag for links you think could be viewed as paid links.

There are a lot. I will list few for you.
-Not having unique Meta description for all pages
-Not having unique title tags for all pages
-Duplicate contents in same site
-Duplicate URLs(Generated from CRM’s)
-Over optimized pages
-Thin pages

The important for SEO 2016 Check list
1)Avoid Auto-software submission of websites
2)Avoid Article spinning use some unique content every time
3)Avoid over-optimization don't use the focus keywords more than twice in your websites page
4)Avoid short cut methods and some sites where if you submit your websites it will spam your websites and it will generate some spam backlinks so avoid it.

To answer your Title question: all of them.

To answer your post, depends on what Google exactly wrote to you, avoid the one(s) they're bothered by.

They don't like duplicate content. They don't like similar urls, similar page titles, etc., etc... Think user experience.

Duplicated content is a major no-no. Apart from that ensure you are not repeating target keywords in Title, Meta description etc. Ensure you are not copying other site's content, Google will sure penalize plagiarism.

There are lots of mistake that you avoid in SEO. Some are basic mistake that not use original and useful content, Not making good quality link for your site, Not use appropriate or quality keyword for your website, not use sitemap.

I think you should avoid bulk creation of backlinks and just focus on social media marketing for traffic generation.

Is it a good practice to add tags in the articles? When I closely examined the search index, I discovered that most of the tags are getting indexed and under the specific tag url, the articles are listed. Basically it is creating duplicate content sitewide and thinking about removing all the tags or getting the directory deinxed and add it in robot.txt to disallow bots to crawl and index.

What you guys suggest?
