It is impossible to answer your question with the information provided.

You are missing the variables such as how fast and SEO friendly your website is, how many people are searching for that information, what kind of words they type into search engines to find it, how much competition there is for those keywords already, and how hard and smart your competition will work to stay ahead of you. Will you submit yourself manually to a search engine? create backlinks for them to find you ? Sooooooo many variable, there are books on SEO, some are quite thick, I would suggest picking one up.

My guess is that 3000 pages of new unique and interesting information might be worth a hundred visitors a day after a couple of years, if you were to just let it sit there and do nothing to promote it, so long as someone doesn't just scrape it from you and promote it on their website. It is a good foundation to build a living on but left alone it might only be possible to pay for its website hosting.

Thanks for the kind reply but, i don't have time for managing and promoting blogs. I am an M.D doctor, i have some unique content which is high quality and is in high demand. The content is actually MCQs which will be used by doctors all over the world.

An example of one such MCQ is given below:

The key word may be competitive but doctors don't have time for writing blogs, so i assume there won't be so many blogs. And i never saw any blog which has such MCQs, so it would be kind of unique. Also, one click on google adsense would be worth at least $1 or above.

I don't even have money for buying a domain and host as i have recently completed my studies but i asked this because if its some thing good, i would start searching for an investor then. I just wanted to be sure if its some thing worth putting effort into.

The content is high quality, and in high demand. But unfortunately, i don't have time to promote it any where. So, it would be some thing like "set it and forget it".

Well, at least there's high demand according to you. Did you do any research to back this up? Do people search for keywords that could have your articles ranking on the top spots? High demand in some circles doesn't necessarily translate to high rankings because there's quite a lot of variables in play.

I took some of the text from your example article. There seems to be at least some forums that post examples from textbooks, and possibly without proper permission. However, Google isn't the copyright police. Having unique and high-quality content doesn't necessarily matter if you're up against more authoritative sites, or scammers who rip your content.

Authority comes from backlinks, so there's often sort of a chicken and egg problem here. You'd need to get the word out to get backlinks in order to rank high. You'd probably need to do some marketing for the site as PBScott pointed out. Not necessarily ad campaigns, but at least give the link to your contacts, colleagues and possibly to some industry websites or publishers. For this approach to work the site needs to be polished enough.

PBScott is also right on saying that your question is impossible to answer. If you post a lot of content it's likely that some of it ranks for long-tail keywords, but there's no guarantees about anything. Your site might just sit on page 5 of Google results for all keywords that matter, and be virtually invisible.

Its all depends on how you are building your site and the audience you are attracting. How are you trying to get people to visit your site? Is it organic or referral traffic that you are hoping to use?

My suggestion would be to set up your site, research some keywords you want to rank for and get some useful articles created for your readers. This alone will not be enough, you will need to keep creating articles and building up your backlinks in order to help with your google rankings for your keywords.

  If I may I would like to second the MD FULLY 110% for assuming that the Big-G must be read as GOSPEL!!! yet is not able to address this / his problem - as well as I would like to say that there is actually a way to address his problem very easily and precise in about 3 days successfully (even so I did had it already happening far shorter).
  Well, I'm sure everybody will disagree totally yet I can ensure you it works only in a situation like his it would need about at least a day to set it up!

Option 1 (Fast-instant): Get fast quality traffic with PPC. You will promote on Adwords, Bing Ads, Facebook Ads, Youtube Ads.

Option 2 (Medium-take more than 3 months): Build authority links to your website, your pages. This will help you rank on Search Engine. But it will take time with your new domain.

Option 3 (Slow-4 months to 20 years ): just promote with limited people (your friends, family) and hope someone will share it and get massive of traffic.

This depends on your decision.

After running my calculations... the answer is in 11 months and 3 days you will get 134 visitors a day from organic traffic. Out of that number, 34 will be from Russia referral spam,50 will be from alibaba spam and the other 50 will show up as (not provided) in Google so we will have no idea about that traffic.

All joking aside. That would actually be a great experiment and I'd actually love to see what the numbers really are. Like others here said, go to Google Keyword planner and see what the search volume is for the main keywords. With that amount of unique content, you will get traffic.

Thanks every one for the kind replies, and good suggestions.

About one year ago, when i got free for a few days, i made an automated site just for fun. What the site used to do was to automatically extract posts from three or four other sites, post that content on my site, and then post it automatically on a blogspot blog and a facebook page with a link back to the post on my site. The site started getting 1,000 unique visits per day in the very first month, though all traffic was not from google. And the traffic increased with the passage of every passing day. The site ranked #1 for some long tail keywords in the very first month. The domain name used was totally unrelated to the targetted keywords, but the domain was purchased about eight months ago before i build a blog on it. I don't know what was the reason of such high traffic but, i concluded that you don't necessarily need years before you start getting organic traffic. And google may not be so smart.

It would help if you even had a hunch. You could try to replicate the same strategy with this site.

I find it likely that you don't need years to rank. If you're doing even something right a few months of half-a-year is a good time scale to see if you're getting anywhere. Of course it also depends on your site, resources, and competition. Today there's a lot of ways to get your link out, from small niche-specific sites to huge crowd-sourced content curation systems such as Reddit. Ads were mentioned again in the thread, but I'd start with the "guys, look what I did" route first.

Google search in this regard is just an algorithm. It's not smart or stupid. It's pretty silly to put human traits on a piece of code. There's certain well-known factors that seem to affect the search results which is why we're talking about backlinks. Google isn't really in the business of finding the next gem of a site, but presenting a list of stuff that seem to fit a search query (and selling ads to that list). Backlinks are a way to estimate the popularity of a site.

Would I do it if I had that content? If the budget is reasonable, heck yes. Your site idea is one of the better ones I've seen floating around on this forum.

If you write the unique contents, that's great. As your job, you can share in your social media like FB,Twitter, that will not cost much time. Meantime some related forums and blogs also works, share the link in your comments. As long as the content is valuable.

The quality and in demand content is useless if it cannot reach the targeted audience, which means you can't just create this kind of content then leave it in the blog site. We must help this great content to reach the users then traffic will follow.

There is no accurate time and the number of articles you need.
If you wants to drive traffic then It depends on the demand of your content. It depends on the searches of keyword you use in your content.
You have to rank your articles in search engines to get regular traffic from it. BUT remember, there is no any fix time when you could see your articles ranked in Google. You only need to try your best at all. Good luck

Posting new blogs in your website regularly is a good strategy for increasing huge traffic towards your website but continuously posting won't help you a lot. If your blog is containing high quality and informative content that too related with the niche of your business then it won't take much time to get enough viewers for it.

It all depends how much time and effort you're prepared to put into promotion. You wouldn't start a new medical practice and wait for new patients to pour in through your door just because you exist. The same goes for new websites. Sure you will pick up traffic organically eventually, but to get the ball rolling you need to spend some serious time on promotion.

As you clearly are an expert use Google and Yahoo Answers to find people asking the questions that your site has the answers to. Don't spam them, but do build yourself a repudiation as the 'go to guy' for questions related to your niche. Either that or spend a ton on paid advertising. As with any business you need to work out how much each new visitor is worth to you. Are you collecting email addresses from your visitors? How will this site earn you the money it requires to justify its existence?

Above all spend some time revelling in the fact you have created something that is potentially life-changing. You have already made a huge first step, something a lot of people never quite get around to doing

Honestly, it depends upon the competitiveness. But you can increase the blog traffic by adopting the below techniques:
- Participate in the communities where your audience already gathers.
- Try to make your blog's content SEO friendly
- Use social media sites Twitter, Facebook and Google+ to share your posts & find new connections
- Install analytics and pay attention to the results
