I have a site that need to add more content to. I'm going to start writing articles about my niche, but I'm not sure about the best way to go about adding the articles to my site. Should I just create new pages on my site for the articles? Should I use a blog platform and integrate the blog in my site? Is there another option? Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Blog platforms are good mate. You can do this. Don't need create other "pages", because all of new articles go have a new site url...for example, i go do a SEO post.

    Your site go be: seocontentxxxxxx.com/seopost

You can submission articles on high pr directories too, this also help.

I will be glad on help you.

my issue is that I don't have enough text on my website according to some SEO reports I ran. My question is can I integrate blog posts into my website to increase the text ratio? Or should I be thinking of blog posts as separate and just be adding text to the actual website itself?

If you're running a blog script like Wordpress..you should probably see it as the following.

Pages - Used for static pages that describe something specific. For example, About Us...Services...Contact...Products..these should all be on static pages.
Posts - Used for content that will eventually fall further and further back as more gets added on top. For example, blog posts like "10 things you should know about SEO" or similar.

If it's a specific page that is advertising your services, products..etc. Then it should use a static page and be linked to from inside your header. If it's just an update, article, or similar then it should be posted into your blog and only your main "blog" page should be linked to from the header of your website.
