No Follow Links

What are no follow links? I read that from a "how to" seo pdf.

    no follow links are links that google does not allow any link juice to be passed meaning that they dont have any power..you can still get traffic from the link but you wont build up any authority for your site if you have all no follow links...good luck! Mike Linley

    In terms of SEO, most of the guys hate NOFOLLOW links. Well, the backlinks with NOFOLLOW tag are counted as backlinks(votes) for a site however the PR of that link is not passed. That is the main disadvantage of NOFOLLOW. However, If you are going to get backlinks, it is better to get the combination of NOFOLLOW and DOFOLLOW to show to google that you are getting links naturally. Say, If you get 50 DOFOLLOW links, make sure you are getting about 5-6 NOFOLLOW links too...

      Couldn't have said this better myself. Love to see other knowledgeable people giving accurate information on this topic, as it's one of those that is generally misunderstood or ignored!
