Title Tag (add a period after company name)??

Hello everyone!

So quick question, we are adding new pages and currently writing meta titles and descriptions and

Our SEO consultant is saying it's a must to add a period " . " after our company name...say what?

This is a phrase | About title - Company Name.

Has anyone here done this or heard of this as an option?

After a brief search, I cannot find any info on this, nor do I see other sites using the period in their page titles.

They either have:

This is a phrase | About title - Company Name

or

This is a phrase | About title - CompanyName.com

    No, adding a period in that manner doesn't help SEO in any known way, you need to get a new SEO consultant P

    There is no any reasonable point to adding period to end of the sentence in title tag.

    Few things to consider when writing title tags
    1. Write call to action title
    2. Title limit to 60-65 Characters
    3. Include your keyword in the title tag

    Use your secondary keyword
    Use your brand name at the end
    Keep it under 60 characters

    That is what happens when you hire the cheapest SEO you can find. Lol.

    I have heard other SEOs say a lot of dumb things. This ranks up there pretty highly though.

      One has to wonder why people would hire these clowns, then come to the WF to ask.

      Why not cut out the middle clown? Learn and do this stuff on your own.

      So, then we get the SEO experts coming here as well for help, advice, etc.
