hi

So I got a new website where I have 8 pages indexed

my most recent page which got indexed in google yesterday and I woke up today to find it's been de-indexed? it's completely unique content with no backlinks pointing to the entire site yet whatsoever. All the other pages on my website are still indexed it's just that 1 page

Not sure why it would get de-indexed? Should I just add more content to it and then submit a sitemap again?

Fluxing sometimes can mean Google is testing your site verse the other competitors for that keyword.

If Google is unable to determine what is the most enjoyed by the end-user so they will allow for you to fluctuate in the SERPS.

If people query your keyword find your site in the SERPS then immediately leave once they have landed on your website. That is called "Pogo sticking" Google is simply trying to find out whether or not you are the best fit for that keyword.

1st off if you could test the site some of the tools below

    https://moz.com/researchtools/crawl-test

    http://deepcrawl.co.uk/ (Amazing tool)

Screaming Frog SEO Spider Tool & Crawler Software | Screaming Frog ( everyone should have a copy I recommend the paid but you can crawl 500 pages for free using SF free addition)

You want to be see what Google bot can see your site can do that using

    http://www.feedthebot.com/tools/

    Check your Robots.txt using

Robots Text Generator Tool ( this will pull the file sometimes there are more than 1 it does happen)

make sure that if you're using WordPress or other similar CMS is that Google bot is not being blocked from seeing J query

The reason for this is Google cannot see the site as it might be shown to the end user therefore they would be less likely to come back & index

once we have completed eliminated and chance of robots.txt or no follow / no index then you will want to look at your entire website Very thoroughly.

I do not know how old your domain is could you share its age?

what is your domain authority? what is the page authority of pages not being indexed?

we need to look at all of this before we can render a verdict.

If you're uncomfortable sharing your URL publicly you're welcome to send it to me privately.

what type of URLs are pointing (if any) Internal or external are pointing at your pages that are not indexing.

    Source (https://moz.com/community/q/google-d...age-on-my-site)

I hope this solve your problem.

  • @raxix you explain it very nicely and your given source seems to be outstanding. Pogo sticking is completely based on the bounce rate you need to optimize how to decrease bounce rate of website and next you would see your pages will not get de-indexed.
  • Are you sure it is deindexed? Not ranking is not the same thing as deindexed. How did you check to see if it is indexed?

Search the exact URL, not the entire website.

    Example:
Also search both www & non-www versions of the exact URL.

    using quotes.
