If my website has been indexed and crawled according to google, why is it that I am not ranking (meaning I can't see where my webite is in google search based on the keywords I picked that are low competition within my articles). when I use an example keyword to see where my website falls under (page) it is not anywhere to be found.

thanks for the suggestions .

Also - it may be good to do a simple search on Google "why is my website not ranking?"

I think you just have the wrong expectations.

Too many people think they can just write an article targeting something that they think is "low competition" and then they deserve to rank highly for it. It's like opening a restaurant and having the attitude that you deserve customers just because you opened.

Being indexed and being ranked are two different things.

Very easy to get indexed. Takes less than 24 hours. Your site goes into Google's database. That's it. Ranking is where your site will then start fighting against other sites for a 1st page search result. Ranking takes time and effort.

It honestly depends. I am not sure how long you have had this website or how much content you have but make sure you are sharing and promoting that content you are producing as well. It can take a little time to get ranked it just all depends on many factors. But also what you may think is low competition may not be. But make sure your articles are optimized correctly, use images and use videos when necessary but stay motivated because you will get results in due time.

What's your keywords? Perhaps they aren't low competition contrary to what it looked like to you.

Also, even if you're in a relatively easy niche, you still need proper on page SEO and good links to your website to rank for your keyword(s).

The only thing you told us that you've got a website, and your niche is low competition according to you.

What sort of insight do you think that we can derive from this? We don't know the niche, or the quality of the site, or the keywords, or the real competition you're against.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?
