Rankings, what a frustration

Okay so get this, I have selected low competitive keywords for my articles to get "ranked"

Yes, the website is only a little over a month old that it's been live. You would think low competition keywords would be the solution to start getting ranked. So why isn't it?

The other problem I ran into is that if I am getting impressions on my keywords for my website, then shouldn't it be ranking? If so, why isn't it.

I don't know if I should be angry or sad or maybe confused or how about all 3

  • What type of off page seo have you done to try and get these keywords ranked?

Off page seo, yes i have heard of the term, friend, but I've only written articles with that keyword for the seo.....never done anything I think

  • That is the problem. You really can't expect to get ranked with just the content alone.

Why would they be? You need to beat existing competition even if it's low, and that usually means that your website needs certain key indicators. Content needs to at least pass a machine check, and the site has to have some backlinks.

What kind of impressions are you talking about? WMT search queries?

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

That is precisely correct, WMT search queries. But an update, I finally see my website being ranked after complaining about it yesterday lol

Yes, you can, for low competition.

Assuming you're good at onpage SEO.
