Sent backlinks, Rankings dropped

I have a 1 month old website and two weeks ago I started backlinks and I got to around page 3 for all my keywords on the page, I started building back links (PBN posts, 1 drip fed per day) again this week and 2-3 have been indexed last couple of days and I checked serbook today and 2 of my keywords have gone down about 175 places to unranked, however 1 is still ranking but got red arrow

should I be worried from being penalised? or is this just google dance from sending backlinks? I checked google webmaster tools and I currently have no messages it says everything is fine..

Should I just wait out a couple of days and see what happens?

Where are backlink pointing to? Is is just all pointing to root domain or split up across several pages? How quality is the backlinks. Take note that nowaday SEO is all about spam control, if your backlink happens to be unnatural and spammy, your ranking is going to drop as nowaday Google is more on quality & unique contents.

Quality contents and quality backlinks is the key to successfully rank in Google.

The backlinks I recently sent are to the homepage of my website, which links to my inner page Im trying to rank ( silo structure ). it's the inner page keywords which have completley dropped apart from 1.

These are not spammy backlinks. The only thing I can think off is that im over optimising the off page as I only have high pa/da/tf links pointing to my website at the moment

built backlinks to the inner pages as well but they are not even indexed yet.

yes you can wait and see what happens next. bt remember after all the links have been created you do the indexing of that links on google. this will help in ranking.

All the backlinks are high quality high pa/da contexual links, these are not blog comments or profile links.

Will wait and see what happens.

Not just a couple of days .. If you wanna to rank for long term then you need to wait for at least a months and do quality backlinking of inner pages with quality content and on page seo.

Yeah I know I'm not saying I should be on first page.. I'm asking why I would suddenly loose all rankings apart from 1 keyword after sending a couple of backlinks

Rankings can bounce around a bit, especially after new content or backlinks are added, then come back after a few weeks.

Of course spammy links can cause longer or permanent rank loss.

I really would not worry about it. Whether you are ranking #35 or #235, nobody is finding your site either way.

Yes I realise this. But why would they suddenly fall of the rankings..

Obviously their is a difference between ranking #35 and #355 .. even though no one is on my website anyway..

I was on page 3, these are quite high competition affiliate terms.. so maybe it's just competition back links I thought at first but it's quite big a sudden drops, plus the most competitive keyword has gone up 3 places today, other two still red arrow down like 270 places and they are all on the same page

also I was actually getting about 5 uniques a day of one of the keywords which had 149k searchs a month and I was middle/bottom of page 3 so my website was actually getting found through these searches and long tail variations

Is that a public link network where your links are rolling off the Home page?

They are posts yeah and they do roll off the homepage but it is private it's from my mates PBN he doesn't sell links to anyone else.

I get they are posts and they roll of the homepage however I didn't think you loose all link juice when they fall of the homepage.. I would lose some link juice but not all

My mate uses this network to rank all his affiliate sites and he said he has sites where he doesn't link to in a couple of months and his still on page 1

So as soon as posts slip of homepage they carry no link juice what so ever? this could be why then..

Also them slipping of the homepage and me losing link juice doesn't explain why only 2 keywords would suddenly drop and the other ones still rank, the 3rd keyword which is more competitive then the other 2 is still #33 and gone up 4 places today, the other 2 still down.

    Straight to the question.

If these are not spammy links. Then no worries, continue building links - new sites do face such ranking patterns - it is called Google Dance. As you said, your site is a new one.

Hope you are diversifying your anchor texts. And not just targeting your main keywords in the anchor texts. ??

This could also be a culprit.

Diversification and consistent link building velocity should get you going good.

    Hope this helped.

      Hi mate,

All anchor text at the moment branded for homepage or raw url have not done any keyword anchors at all. I'm hoping this is just google dance.

Well that is kind of dumb. Why in the world would you not use relevant anchor text?

Also, if your posts are rolling off the home page of the sites they are on, depending on the structure of those sites, the power of those links is going to drop significantly, which could be why you saw rankings drop.

Not to worry, was just google dance. All keywords jumped up to top of 2nd page today

Seriously, you gave me an infraction and said I was insulting, and that all my posts throughout the forum are spam? Kind of a dick move.

What I said was true. #35. #235. No difference really. In a weak SERP, that could be the difference of one single strong link. Which if you had one, and for some reason the page it was on was unreachable or went down for a day, it would easily explain your drop.

              It's reversed.

I'm blocking the guy since he's abusing infractions.

Wait, what? Are you a mod again? Can anyone reverse infractions?

The part I dont understand about OP is:

    - If the site is a real PBN (private) why are his posts rolling out of the home page?
    - If it is a simple set of blogs where his friend just post some articles for him, then that is not a PBN and he is getting ZERO linkjuice from the main page (which I believe has the biggest linkjuice, jus t a guess)

It's private, He only uses it himself for links, He let me have 5 posts on them

I think he only has about 50 sites overall in the network but I know he uses them to rank all of his sites as the PBN's are general category (yes im aware not niche relevant)

He has a lot of websites I know, he also has some local clients which he does posts for them, he doesn't advertise selling his links anywhere and literally only uses them for himself.. and his clients

no idea why he sets it up with posts and not permanent links i've never had a private blog network before don't know how it works..

but it's all good ranking increase to page 2 for all 3 of my targeted keywords ..
