Will inner links help for SERP?

I have beed adviced to create some profiles under PR5+ domains and leave my link there. Will this help to get fast SERP? What is the use of these kind of links? However, I have noticed that google feels so slow to cache those kind of profiles..... Even the domain has good PR....

Any thoughts... (Can assume the sites as Angela's pacakge)

    They will be found. There were some easy ways to get those profiles indexed within hours but I've personally found that these methods have stopped working now. I'd just submit and forget now.
