    Google likes the format of Wordpress, you can install the a plugin or 2 to help do SEO, I use All in One SEO Pack.

    I think there are more factors to look at on both your site and the site linking to you for how much juice gets passed to you.

    Are you talking about wordpress accounts at wordpress.com?

    I assumed you were refering to hosting wordpress yourself and installing the software yourself.

    I've not used wordpress.com before and would recommend hosting it yourself, you have more control and wordpress.com aren't fond of extensive advertising on blogs or those aimed purely at makeing money.

    You definitely get juice for using WP. I have been using wordpress for three years. It has three major advantages>
    1. SEO Plugins - there are plugins that you can install and they notify major search engines of your new post. You can also choose some options like making your tags and categories be indexed.

    2. Under the options tab on wordpress. click on writing options>> then
    Update Services:

    get various ping services, am unable to paste them here

    3. Permalinks - under settings go to >>Permalink Settings and use custom structure and put this code: /%postname% . this uses your post title as part of url helping in customization.

      you can get a webhosting company that uses simple scripts or fantastico. I recommend and use blue host

    You want to download the software from wordpress.org

    you then need to setup a MySQL database with your web hosting and feed the database name and login details into the wordpress configuration file.

    You can then upload everything to your web hosting with FTP and run the install. There are more extensive installation instruction on the wordprss site but the process is really simple and you'll have your own hosted copy of wordpress.

      All you need is a webhost that is fantastico or simple scripts enabled. you can install wp in a folder of choice and it will configure all database settings automatically and your site is ready to go

        I use WordPress to create websites as well as blogs because Google has a passion for WordPress. Easy to install and keep updated. I highly recommend when you get a hosting account it has Fanticastio. Will install your WordPress within 5 minutes or less.

        You can't go wrong with WP.

    thanks harry. I do not have a hosting account at the moment just a simple setup thats free with wealthy affiliate so when i get a hosting account i will give it a go.
