Google Serps showing only brand name.. missing information after pipe

brand name | IT Consulting | Web Design | Etc

I have checked meta tags with many tools . There is no problem in content relevancy in title.

If your website is created using word-press then check in setting. In setting section by default website title is your brand name just remove it and resubmit your website to Google.

    Hey mate,

    Need more info..

Can you link your site? Are you using WordPress with an SEO plugin such as Yoast by any chance? If I remember correctly some of them have an interesting way of populating meta data, all done through the plugin rather then on the page its self.

    Cheers,
    Adam.

    Then fix your meta data.

Google does that. Just see their documentation. They probably see your title as spammy, and are doing you a favor by replacing it.

No need to Skype with anyone, that will probably not help at all. This is a common problem and a recurring topic on this forum.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?

That could be the reason because title is looking fine in another page( Web Design - Brand Name) and it is visible same in Google SERP. I will try to remove some words. Brand Name - IT Consulting in Tennessee. lets see what happen . Thanks for the reply.

    There may be two reasons,
If you are searching through a specific keyword than and google think that your title did not match with that keyword.
2nd google think that your title is garbage (sorry for this language) and then show you what google think is right.

"brand name | IT Consulting | Web Design | Etc" this is Spam and try to use a complete phrase rather than keywords

Meta tags have nothing to do with the title.

I don't even know what content relevancy is. Unless you mean google can change
the title they show if they wish. Which they do.

These problems are caused by people buying a domain, using WP,
and thinking that's it. They know nothing about html, php, servers,
    google, etc.

Why anyone would want to live on the net like that has always been beyond me.

    Why not ask Matt Cutts?

Huh I mean i have checked title tag (html tag) with many tools. Typo content relevance*
Title is used to determine the relevancy of a given web page by the search engines - Moz
"These problems are caused by people buying a domain, using WP,
and thinking that's it. They know nothing about html, php, servers,
google, etc." bullshit(Sorry for the language) It has nothing to do with php , server or html. Yes may be my title is looking like a spam to google like nettiapina said. I will try to change it . Thanks for your useless advice.
