  • Unique content with SEO optimized keywords and well written or error free content in the boundary of Google policies can be called the SEO content.
    • [ 4 ] Thanks
  • SEO Content is:

    • High quality, in-depth, and well written.
    • Tailored to target one or two primary keywords, and a handful of long-tail queries.
    • Satisfies user intent -- it provides relevant information to the end user and answers their questions.
    • Sharable and linkable. It's useful and professional -- it's something others will be happy to share with their readers because it adds value to the topic at hand.
Ask yourself these questions about your content:

    • Is it something I would find useful if I were reading it?
    • If this were on another website, would I be willing to share it with my readers?
    • Is it better than the content that already ranks for my keyword?
If you answered "no" to any of these questions, you need to reevaluate.
    • [ 3 ] Thanks
  • First do proper keyword research and then start content creation. Mainly people would love to read contents with sub titles, bullet points and images. so, use them in your content. share it on social media and start guest posting. Don't use same keywords too many times in the content.

  • Your content depends very much on what your product/service is that you offer. And it's obvious that it should be well written, clear and to the point. Think from the customer's point of view when you write it.

  • You have to write unique and engaging content and the content you write should be informative do not stuff keywords in your content. Try to make as simple as you can and share this content over social media with appropriate graphics
  • readable, user point of view , have Keyword density 2-3% ,error free keyword target in first paragraph.
  • For some reason I am having an issue with quoting multiple posts.......... Anyways.........
I feel that the answer to this question was explained very well within I believe the first 2 posts. These are all things that I would have said/suggested. So I would say follow their advice. I also saw many posts about content. Yes, content is very important. It just has to be targeted, unique, relatable, and well written.
  • In the SEO world the content is the king.

First of all, the content needs to be original and useful. Put yourself in the shoes of your visitors: Would the article be useful to you or does it look like another copy/paste article?
All the articles need to be targeted for 1-2 keywords and a small amount of long-tail ones.

Also, someone said above me that the keyword density should be around 2%-3%. I think that those number are way too high. You should aim to have around 1% keyword density.
After you finish the article, read it again 2-3 times. The article should flow naturally, if it looks like you overdid it with the articles, you should rewrite the article.

    Remember: Content IS THE KING.

  • If you can tie your content to a trending news topic, you can title it based on what everyone is looking for and clicking on at the moment. I've done this a few times for a few relevant news stories and I still get people looking for that content years later.
  • First of all, get the idea of "ranking fast" out of your head!!

If this is the mentality you have when doing SEO - you are only setting yourself up for frustration!

Now, I am not saying that you cannot rank "fast" in the search engines - because you can. But only with a high authority domain name, that is popular and has good rankings all around, with good backlinks to the root domain, etc.

You can rank Forum Threads kind of fast, for example. But one thing that you must understand about these "fast rankings" - is that most of the time they are temporary rankings. You might see good rankings for a week or so, and then the rankings will drop eventually, if you don't know how to maintain it.

And Im not sure what you really mean with "what type of content"????

I mean, Content is just Content my friend. But I'll tell you this, only publish High Quality Content!!!

Content that the search engine users are really looking for. This is the simple principle to benefit from the search engines. Take good care of them with value.

Deliver what the search engine user really wants and is looking for.

Just think about this; what is the search engine's main priority? .. what makes a search engine successful?

    It is their USER!!!

So, if you want the search engine to love your content and your website, what do you think you need to do?

You need to publish content that THEIR Users will LOVE! ..

    Plain and simple!

And please do not forget, that SEO is a long term process. If you are looking for "fast traffic", then SEO is not for you.

Building up good organic traffic takes time and effort. It will add up and build up over the months. And it would also depend on how much work you put in, or course.

At the end of the day, you are the one who can control how much search engine optimized content you want to publish every day or every week. You will start to rank with time, and the more you do it, the more organic traffic you can build up.

It is a process. A process that takes consistency, good effort, and time!!

  • Your content should give the answer to a specific problem that people are searching for answers to.

Ideally, no one else on the web is offering a solution as comprehensive or precise as your content does.

Content that answers a question based around keywords is best. For instance "How to lose weight in college without exercise?" is 100x better than an article about "How do I lose weight" because its more specific and there are not as many articles in Google on that.

    • You're getting a lot of crappy advice.

What Google ranks is based on what Google thinks the page is about, nothing to do with quality / readability of content... You can write utter nonsense, just pick random words from the dictionary... If you use keywords in the right places, you'll rank.

That said, there's no point in ranking like that. You want content that will get visitors to take a particular action (subscribe, buy, visit some other site/page).

But the 2nd one has no bearing on ranking... unless a human being at Google reads it and says you got thin content...

So... You need 2 different sets of skills... Persuasive writing and keyword usage. The better you combine them, the better both Google and visitors like your pages, the happier you are.

      Don't believe me?

Go to Google. Search for some term like Arkansas mortgage broker (not too competitive). Copy all the results on page 1 and paste them on a page on a site of yours. Call the page Arkansas mortgage broker, put arakansas-mortgage-broker in the url, Arkansas mortgages in h2, Arkansas loan officer in h3. Wait a few days... Check Google SERPs, position 7 or 8... Your page will be there.

Do the same as above for a new page but delete all the text except addresses and keywords. Wait a few days. Search Google SERP's. You'll find your page in the bottom part of page 1.

With content as great as a list of addresses, company names, keywords and nothing else.

I speak from experience. I dood it. I copied results from page 1 of a search term, pasted them on a new page, etc. A year later, my page is still floating at the bottom of page 1 in Google for the low-but-not-very-low-competition keyword.

On a more competitive keyword, I'd need a dozen low power backlinks and I'd still be on page 1.

  • As DABK said, there's a lot of crappy advice in this thread. And at that point it hadn't degenerated to total crap like keyword densities.

So you want to rank with content. It's very probable that "fast" isn't something you can pull off unless you're really good at both content production and marketing. Your content may be immaculate, but if you don't market it and succeed to get readers it'll not get anywhere. Sure, some people get stuff to go viral, but they probably toiled around for a long time to build sufficient audience or following. Or there's a huge marketing push behind them.

If you want to rank fast get a lot of high-value backlinks. Content is usually the slow way to get there.

Decent enough content is often the backbone of your internet marketing, but it's not "the king".

    • No, you don't need to create unique and fresh content. Read my post above. Do the exercise. Or do a bit of searching. You'll see pages with content from 2001 ranking, nothing unique or fresh.

Plus, you're not answering the OP's question.

See above. Plus, WTF? Keyword density?

You broke it down but didn't fix it. What's the content part of SEO content about?

    • First, let's establish once and for all: SEOland is ruled by women, so there can't be a king of SEO.

Secondly, thinking is required when talking about SEO. Thinking must come before posting. Repeating things you've heard and never thought about it, let alone tested, ain't useful. Not even to you!

Thirdly, I don't want huge visitors. Nobody does. They break chairs when they sit on down. I want many, normal-size visitors who pay.

Varunindia88, are you a clone of GlobalSquares (post 27)?

    • Deleting a crappy post and posting it again later doesn't make you sound knowledgeable.

And, you still didn't fix the problem you had the first time you posted this crappy post.

So, it's still a crappy post. Just looks dumber.
