I have a new site taht is 2 week old . Can I buy a cheap , unrelated PR 2-3 domain and redirect it to my new site so that Google see my new site as an "old site" ?

Is this recommended?. Thanks

I don't think it's recommended. Why do you need your site to go up fast in the SERPs? Patience is the key to the game.

  • The answer to your question is no. Google is a registrar. They know how old your site it. And a redirect won't make it any older. And even if you bought a dozen sites and redirected them your site still wouldn't get any older.

And everyone needs to have traffic.

If you find a domain that has traffic that is related to yours and you can buy it for a fair price and turn a profit then it makes sense to do it. But if you think a single site purchased for the sole purpose of SEO ranking will make any difference you would be mistaken and better off chasing down a couple of quality links from other high ranking pages.

I don't think that would make much sense. In fact, I don't see any benefits whatsoever. Even if you were to make google consider your site older than it actually is(which it won't), that wouldn't affect rankings.

You can achieve good rankings with many factors , but links are still and will continue to be important. So try to build Quality in-bound links, tons of them.

It can prove to be a suicide. I will say a big NO for your suggestion. Buying a domain and that too unrelated will be a foolish thing to do.

Better try building backlinks for your site from High PR and relevant sources and you will get the results in the next update itself. There is no shortcut in SEO, even if you get quick results with such tricks but these results will be very short lived.
