Fastest way to get indexed on Bing

I have to admit that Bing is slow as compared to big G as far as getting new sites indexed.

I have tried this on some of my new sites. Always while Google had indexed these sites, Bing had not, even though the sites were more than a month's old.

There's a simple trick to getting your new site indexed by Bing and it has proven to work (The latest one being submitted last week and I can see it being indexed today).

Here are the steps:

1. Visit Bing.com

2. Enter "site:yoursite.com"

3. If yoursite.com is not indexed, submit your URL to Bing by clicking the link at the bottom of the result page.

4. Wait for a few days (3-5 days) and check back. Your site should have been indexed.

That's it. I have never experienced that my sites were not indexed by Bing using this method.

Now why bother to get indexed by Bing not Google? For two reasons. First one is it's easier to rank 1st page on Bing and secondly, it can bring you qualified prospects. Why let it go to waste if you can capture some quality free traffic?

Here's the proof: For the site I mentioned above, I have received about 100 visitors since it was indexed by Bing.

Try it now and let me know if it works for you.

Bing is certainly a new search engine to look out for and you may as well take traffic from all search enginges instead of just focusing on one.

Wouldn't just linking do the trick, and probably even quicker?

      This is a good question.

But for my site, I have done some linking but for some reason, Bing did not pick up my site. When I submitted my site to Bing last week, then only it was indexed.

That's interesting, because it sort of offers an insight into how bing works for certain things. What kind of links were these?

Also a curious thing is what is the database that bing is using? Was it just a transfer from live search?

Some web 2.0 links. I notice Bing and Live are almost the same but I am not sure how it works in the backend.

Yea actually same thing for me, g00gle and yah00 both picked my site up real quick and a lot of the backlinks but i had to manually submit my url now to bing, hope they get it up quick lol. I use adcenter and have been for years now, I personally love it and in many cases prefer it to adw0rds

You can also "wait" for Bing to find and index your website normally without submitting it, because if it is already in the index box, it is called doublepinging, which is harmful for your blog/website (you won't tell Bing anything different, but "index my website double... which will make it eventually DEindex!")

I also gotten impatient after not seeing my site being indexed in Yahoo, which gets it's sites from Bing! (I'm already on page 2 in Google after having my new site pinged 3 days ago!)

I submitted my site to Bing manually two days ago. I'll let you know, when I'm finally seeing it!

YIPIEEH! Today was the first day I found my site indexed by Bing. I'm now on page 4. Pretty amazing, since I'm on #2 on Google in the same time (YES, #2 on the 1st page, NOT page #2!)

Verdict: BE PATIENT! Eventually Bing will show your site in it's engine!
