1. I have written over 10 pillar posts or posts with highest quality, actionable content.
2. over 50 TQ posts (took me over two years to write, I don't post daily, not even weekly)
3. over 50 reasonable quality posts (again took me couple of years)
4. I guess age of domains matter to get traffic
5. I guess blog commenting works to get traffic

To be honest I never did any keyword research, no keyword planing, just picked up bunch of keywords and in some strange unknown chemistry all of these things for some unknown reasons have eventually paid of!

Now if you really want that eff traffic few sure ways to get it is

1. become a well known authority in your niche
2. spend good amount of money in WHITE HAT SEO
3. wait for your luck to do the magic (which can happen anytime)

Make relationships with influencers, if majority of their followers are for instance on facebook you shouldn't contact or let the influencer know about your presence on that platform because its information overload there and in clutter nothing makes sense unless you Seth Godin or Obama rather you should make your self known to them on platforms where there are comparatively lesser followers.

This means they get aware about you more often and are more likely to engage you there!

Once the relationship starts moving, then after a month or two ask them for a guest post and put your 100% in that and you will get some solid back links passing some awesome juice consequentially more traffic.
