Using SB To Grab Only One Email Address Per Domain

Hello,

I am using Scrapebox to create lists of email addresses. I first harvest URLs using the site: operator combined with a list of domains. For example, I would use:

site:domain1.com
site:domain2.com
etc.

This creates a list of URLs that look like this:

domain1.com/page1.html
domain1.com/page2.html
domain2.com/page1
domain2.com/page2
etc.

Of course, usually there are a few dozen pages within every domain (website).

I then use the SB Email Grabber to grab emails from the list of URLs.

Sometimes it happens that I get several (or even many) email addresses grabbed from a single domain. This might mean that I got email addresses that look like this:

info@domain1.com
sales@domain1.com
support@domain1.com
etc.

If I sent an email to all of those addresses, that would mean the owner of the website/business would receive the email multiple times. That is not something that I'd want because I don't want to bother them.

I would like to know if there is a way to send the email to only email address per domain. In the above example, I would only send to info@domain1.com.

The outcome of the email grab in Scrapebox is a .txt file containing the list of email addresses as well as a list of URLs that the email addresses where scraped off of. These two columns are separated by the letter "|". This file can be opened in Microsoft Excel. I am not that proficient with using Excel so I don't know how to do this. If anyone could help, that would be great.

    If you will always be sending emails to only info@ email addresses then you could use Notepad++ to filter down the the SB list of emails & remove all the unwanted lines/emails.

      thank you for the response, unfortunately, that is not the case - the emails start with various openings, such as "info", "contact", "support", "admin" and hundreds others.

    I made a Windows desktop app. that filters a list of emails down to a single keyword.

    The scraped list of emails is in the left text box, click the button & it filters down to the keyword (contact) in the right text box.

    The second screenshot is the finished email list.

    The app. is only checking for lines of text that include the target keyword (ex: contact) & removing all the unwanted emails.

    • You are shooting in the dark. Better to work smarter, not harder.

      I do a ton of email marketing. I manually scrape them, send them
      one at a time. It takes very little effort. Probably less than any scenario above.

      I would rather send 50 targeted than 50,000 that just go into a trash bin.

      I do get a great response doing that several times a day. Some days more if I have the time.

      Before anyone says anything, google does not hate email marketing.

      I send them to real people in my genre.

      Lot's of small business have generic, stock email addresses created and posted that nobody ever uses.

      Worse, info, admin, contact, etc go to the same mailbox.
