Spammy websites

How do you check is the website is trustworthy and not spammed with links? (I mean free tools) How to be sure it`s a good site to get a link from it? I used ahrefs, but it doesn`t show whether the site is overspammed.

    I use Moz open site explorer. (paid) . Here you can see if sites have spammy links to it.

  • You can check backlinks by use free website backlinkwatch.com for spammy links check.
  • You should check its link and content. This can tell you better.
