Let me explain expert warriors!.. Basically I've two websites with best position on SERP. One is 1st other one is 2nd through my potential keywords. Both are going to provide similar services. They are not taking any duplicate contents and not violating any webmaster guidelines.

Seemingly, they are competitor among themselves. So, how reasonable is it?
Should I merge them and make one or leave them in there position?

I'd say leave them as is!

If it's not against webmaster guidelines then you'll be getting more traffic by having the two top positions than for having just first position only.

This is your next step: Create 2 more pages for the same keyword, one on each site, and take over positions 3 and 4.

Then, get your Google page in position 5, your youtube video in position 6, your facebook page in position 7, your linkedin page in position 8 (actually, the order doesn't matter).

When you, and you alone, have all the spots on page 1 and page 2, you have it made.

Why in the world would you think about merging them? Rank as many as you want.

    Are you crazy?

You would have to be out of your tree to give up multiple SERP positions for a single keyword that was generating traffic.

    Someone told me like that

    1. You should merge them and make one because both are similar, Customer will be confused to query.
    2. Another issue is.... it is difficult to operate both.
    3. Both are not similar to provide same feedback such as 1st one give me the 80% job when other one is 20% only.

So what do you think now?
