How can I traffic to my website?

Hi All:

My apologies if this is the wrong thread to post, but this is my very first time posting so please pardon me if I'm posting in the wrong place.

So my concern is how can I get traffic to my website? This is something I've been pondering on again and again, and I'm following the rules for on-page SEO - but no matter what I do - I just can not figure out why my site is getting little to no traffic at all.

I'm fairly new to the world of IM so I would really appreciate if you could kindly point me in the right direction or if you could give me pointers as to what it is that I'm doing wrong - here.

It seems like either I'm going crazy or I'm just stuck not knowing where or how to proceed. Ever feel like you are in the middle of a damn ocean without a life jacket - thats how i feel.

My website is: How to Save Your Marriage

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Jerry

You should try contacting other website owners in the same niche and do some guest blogging. You could also use relationship forums to do a bit of forum marketing. There's also paid traffic you could use but I'd start with those two if I were you.

    Cheers,
    Jan

The best thing you can do is to use the search function on the forum and you'll find that there are tons of threads with basically the same answers on each.

So, just take 2 or 3 that have a lot of replies and read them.

Firstly, Make your website SEO optimized. Use the Trophy phrases properly in your content. List your business in Google, Bing etc.
Second, write original, unique and interesting blogs to attract more traffic to your website. Make the content seo optimized.
Third, Use social media channels for advertising your business to get more and more traffic. Put infographics and images to make the posts more attractive.

    Hello Jerry,
    Welcome to this forum.
I would suggest you to try social media promotions of your website. I can not see any social media icons like Twitter, FB on your website. Try to follow and connect niche interested people through their social media accounts. Make your content more interesting so that user want to visit your website again. Your content should be strong enough to be shared and read with attractive fonts, images and effects.

I hope this can help you.

      Hi Guys:

Thank you all for the wonderful suggestions.

I do make sure that the content I post are unique, in that, the content is something that I come up with rather than plainly copying someone else's work. Each of my articles/post has images which are SEO optimized as well.

I'll try doing some info-graphics next time around.

But from all the suggestions I'm getting the feeling that I need ti increase my marketing efforts such as social media and blog commenting.

I've never been a fan of social media so I can see why I stayed away from it.

Thanks for all your advice. ..

Thank You all for the wonderful suggestions.

Based on my effort so far here is what I've realized:

      1. Regular posting of unique quality articles that serves a purpose
      2. Provide value
      3. Optimize for SEO
      4. Social Media Promotion

However, the one thing that I find really tedious is logging into each social media outlet and doing the posting one by one. I know there are several services that are available that updates the many social media outlets but I'm terribly confused or not sure which is the best tool to use that will do a one click post to the many social media outlets.

Q1. Do you know of any good tools that will do a promotion to the many social media outlets?

Q2. Also, what are your thoughts on using GSA (Search Engine Ranker). Is it good to use GSA or not?

Q3. I'm trying to enhance my knowledge on search engine ranking, however, I keep running into many conflicted advises - some say backlink strategy is dead - some say it is still effective. So my question is what is the best way to get your site ranked on top of google?

Q4. I realize that Google is the preferred search engine for many - but there are other search engines that many people still use such as Bing, AOL, ASK etc. So do you know of any techniques that will get ranked on these other search engines faster than Google?

Q5. When it comes to facebook marketing, what best tweaks do you recommend to make your ad more effective? Ex: Lets say I'm in the weight loss niche so apart from the seed keywords what other targeting methods should i focus on to make my ad more successful.

I really do appreciate your responses and I make it a point to try out all suggestions - therefore - I want to extend a special thanks to all those who have helped me thus far and to those who are taking the precious time to answer my many questions. So thanks a million.

      Regards,

        Your titles suck:

4 Undeniable facts in Saving a Marriage
Who says you can't save your relationship and win back your marriage?

You should have keywords in them. Assuming 'saving a marriage' and your title should be: Saving a Marriage: 4 Tips That Will Make Sure Your Marriage Lasts

Facts, even undeniable, don't move people to click as much as tips, advice, etc.

Your title: Who says you can't save your relationship and win back your marriage - is actually a subtitle.

Assuming your keyword is 'win back your marriage', the title would be:
Win back your marriage in 7 proven steps (or something like that... I didn't read your article).

Assuming your keyword is "save your relationship..." Title:
Save your relationship: 7 Proven Steps to Winning Back Your Marriage

Did you notice that the keywords were at the beginning?

        Why not create another site:
        SaveYourMarriageTips.com
        and another:
        MarriageSavingTips.com
        weddingdressesformidgets.com
        WeddingDressesForTheClovenFooted.com

I don't know keywords in your field... They don't have to have a keyword in them... They have to be useful to people who find your main site useful...

And 10 more sites, at least, about marriage and divorce...

So that you have good sources of backlinks to your main site?

Your posts, make sure you have internal links and that they help... If you link post 1 to post 2, post 2 to post 3, post 3 to post 4, and post for to one of your landing pages, your landing page has some juice. If you link post 1 to post 2, post 4 to post 3, and all of them to the same landing page, your landing page has some juice, but less than with method 1.

Why are you promoting watches and start a business from home on this site?
You should be promoting things that people trying to save their marriage might find useful.
Gifts men can buy women, women can buy men, for instance. Or activities that they can do together?

By the way, why don't you have a landing page for men and one for women?

That is some kick-ass advice - brilliant. Thanks a bunch DABK. Thanks a million for your most valuable comments. Moving forward, I'll make sure that I follow your guidelines.

I'm fairly new to the game, and am still learning the ropes. I agree my headlines are not that great, but I've been reading up a lot on copywriting and am now beginning to understand the buyer psychology. That's one of the reasons I tend to write the articles myself - this way - i get to know my target market better and get an insider view on the niche itself.

The #1 problem I see is that your backlink profile consists of some followed links which is good, but they're all from forum profiles. Forum profiles (even if they are followed) have little or no links pointed to them, so they are extremely weak. Also it appears a tool was used to create these as there is almost no anchor text diversity. It looks very unnatural.

I would try to do some guest posting basically anywhere and get some links pointed to your site of some value. The SEO work you have done is near worthless. It does appear to have worked to an extent

Thank you so very much for your sound advice. I'm using SEO Pressor as my SEO tool. Still trying to learn the ropes on SEO. After doing a deeper analysis on my site I realized I made a huge mistake not optimizing my articles enough on keyword targeting, which is why I think I do not have any organic traffic.

Now after realizing that I started to post relevant articles, 1 or 2, that is keyword optimized - just to test the waters. But still I think i'm something. I need to start implementing my backlink profile and guest blogging.

Once again, thanks a million for your suggestions.

Hi Jerry, To be sure of getting traffic to your website, first make sure that the content on the website is of high quality and optimized. After that, you can choose to use either paid or free method of promotion. I would recommend that you share the website through the top social media application with whats-app included. The content will then attract readers who will be retained if at all the content is worth their time. Market the site too through paid platform such as google adword among others. They help you popularize your site online.

You know the hard thing is that even you are doing *everything* right, sometimes it just takes Google 3-6 months before it will show your site on the first 1-3 pages of results. SEO takes time and I know it can be frustrating.

Just keep doing keyword research and posting on the blog. Google likes consistency and frequency.

So if you want traffic now the quickest place is to comment on blogs and forums that allow signature links, and/or to use PPC.

Biggest thing ever you can do to attract traffic is by outreaching to those with traffic. If you ever get in with these guys you can get instant traffic. Getting in contact with these guys and just building that relationship could mean thousands of email subscribers. Email subscribers is the ultimate goal here for THE best traffic ever. Email traffic is even better than SEO traffic. So build relationships first, create content, and build email list. Ultimately, be patient. Which is hard I know!
