Hello everyone,

I was going through many online blogs that are talking about the Importance of URL Structure, some are saying it matters and some are saying it doesn't matter when it comes to SEO.

I'm confused could anyone please clear my confusion that shall I focus on URL Structure or not?

If yes, then what should be the best URL Structure of a website for SEO?

    First of all it's such a simple thing why wouldn't you build logical link structure?

    Yes, Google looks at URL structure, you can easily see that in the SERPs the way Google handles breadcrumbs.

    The post name based permalink structure of wordpress is probably the most popular url structure.
    And one good reason is, when you check pageview stats in google analytics, the reports will be readable.

    Google does read the url, but it is not supposed to be a very strong seo signal.

    If you have a choice for url structures go for the one that makes sense not just for SEO purposes but to attract your real visitors too. So what your visitors like the SEs will follow.
