Hello Warriors,

I am trying to increase my traffic and chose SEO as one way of getting more traffic to my site.
Until now I just picked a topic I felt like writing about and optimized for a keyword with Yoast SEO without researching that keyword.

Now I would like to set up a more elaborate system in place with a silo system and 3 main keywords/topics (productivity, motivation and habits).

In order to help me with my keyword research I have been looking at long tail pro.

I've also come across SEMrush, but I am not really sure if I'd really need all that extra stuff. I'm currently on a budget and 70 bucks/month is quite expensive.

Are there any good free (or cost-effective) services out there (maybe some open source projects?)? I'm on a mac, so win programs won't do it for me.
Or would your recommend long tail pro? This does not track my rankings tho, right?

If that tool would come with some tutorials on how to effectively do white hat seo that would be the icing on the cake :-)

I use Market Samurai for keyword research.

You can get it for free. There is a paid, upgrade version, but you don't need to take that option to continue using the keyword research features.

    Hello,
Generally I use Google Ad-words keyword planner for my keywords suggestion. You can also try it. From there you can get details like global and local search volume, competition, PPC rate and so more on.
