Seriously... How is his possible?

Hi guys,

I've finished a amazon niche sites 5 days ago... (pretty standard one)

I've submitted (my website) as always into my Google Webmaster Tool, Analytics, connected it from Analytics to Webmaster Tool and integrated it to my SERP software.

I've made standard On-Page SEO, that's all.

It's a fairly small kw with around 20k searches and seriously NO COMPETITION at all.

That's the reason why I've created it but here is my big problem:

It seems that my website doesn't rank at all! Not even in the top 120... On my Webmaster tool I don't get any data although there are a few sites already indexed... What's wrong with my site?

May someone can give me some tips? (This is not my first niche site but the first site I had such troubles)

Help would be appreciated!

Regards.

  • It's been 5 days. Relax. The site is probably not even fully indexed yet.

Give it 3-4 weeks, then you can start crying about it not ranking.

    • Really 3-4 weeks? I never waited that long for one of my sites to be indexed and ranked into the top 120! :O

Anyone knows how to speed up the process in general? (I've submitted the automated indexing through Google's Webmaster Tool already!)
  • So is it the kind of site you've been ranking previously, or a "standard one" we see on WF? You know, often Amazon affiliate sites are just garbage. If it's a thin content affiliate site it might not ever rank. It seems that Google is trying to axe these sites from their index, and for a good reason.

    • Hi there,

      thanks for your reply.

No - It's definitely a quality site. The only different between most amazon niche sites (which are targeting higher keywords with over 50k all in all) is that my is a one page for one keyword (the main one) and a few long-tails. The article is around 3.5k words long and fairly detailed. I know, I could write more content but with the 3.5k long seo-optimized article I describe everything which is important for that keyword... and for the reader as well.

So even if it is to less content, I should at least reach 120... Something went wrong completly... :X

      Maybe you know why! :X
  • Not the best strategy to create a 1-page site with an article that long. It would be much better to split that article up into a silo. Then you at least get some decent internal links on the site.

Either way though, it has only been 5 days. Did Google even cache the site yet?

The world isn't ready for silos yet.

      [must have 3,000 word pages]

  • Get some social links and signals to it in order to speed up the process. Also leave a few blog comments on related blogs. All these little things help.

    • Don't you get tired to give the same BS "advise" again and again?

If you ever to follow your own suggestions you would know that:
      - they are don't work specially when Google ignores links
      - hardly work and it takes very long time, more than month or two

not to mention I'm sure OP well aware about 'social links and signals' and 'blog comments'

So I'm tending bar & this guy comes in says he knows a guy that read a forum post where his barber knows a mailman that delivered mail to a guy that heard a cashier at Walmart telling a customer about a blog post they read on the internet saying profile links are awesome in 2015. End of story.

  • One can assume you have loads of competition. Just because you
think your site is the $#!^$, does not mean google has to.
Quality is in the eye of the beholder.

Where did this mentality come from?

Does the internet even need such a site?

I wish all these amazon sites would die.

You NEVER need to submit your site to google via anything.
    If you do, well,...

I know your site ranks for something if it's indexed. This thread ranks #3 for

  • Give me your URL. Let me do a deep analysis and give you back a report.
  • 5 days is quite short. Start slow on manual social bookmarking and increase steadily as days go by. Also remember that Google tend to sandbox new sites nowadays.
