Multiple Artilce Submissions & Links

Hi

Apologies if this has been asked before - I can't find the exact same question.

Google doesn't penalise duplicate content, it just doesn't rank / index it.

Therefore, when submitting the same article to multiple article directories, only a couple of the articles are going to get picked up by Google.

Given that only a couple will get picked up, does that not also mean that only a couple of the links get picked up, thereby meaning mass article submission is a waste of time (unless they are spun)?

Interested in people's thoughts.

  • Hey, your logic here i right. One disadvantage of article marketing is the time that it takes to submit articles to article directories on the Internet. To submit to article directories manually can take up to a full day or longer depending on how many sites you want to submit to. So it is really not a good idea to so the Multiple Artilce Submissions thing.
  • Thanks for the link Dave. Basically what the blog post that links to is saying confirms what I suspected in that unless the article is spun, there isn't a lot of benefit to submitting to multiple article sites as only one or two will get picked up, link wise.

I know it says there's no harm in it, but if there's no real benefit, what's the point?
  • I don't think google is looking such things....
However, I used to always spinn the articles
  • I know it won't penalise you, that's not what I'm asking. I was trying to gather opinions on whether it is worth doing mass article submissions without spinning the article, given that google will only index one or two of them, making the rest of them worthless (i.e. if they don't get indexed, the link won't count).
