I'm trying to compete in a highly competitive market (quick property sale industry).

When writing landing pages I'm noticing that my competitions pages are just their home page with no direct reference to any specific key term. I'm writing pages for buy house fast and flying homes is near top but their landing page is just their homepage....how have they managed to do this, Backlinks ?
