Premium WP Theme - Unstructured Heading H1-6Tags Used for Design Formatting -Impact on SEO!?

So I've purchased a premium WP theme (Impreza) until such time as I can afford a bespoke website design and build...and am now in the process of customizing the theme the way I want it.

The theme's demo uses various Headings Tags (H1-6) in various places, and in my opinion in an unstructured way, such as was explained on another post here where the guy said:

..."Its use should be based around hierarchy, H1 is generally used for the main header title for a section of a page whereas H2 would be the title for a subsection of this. Think of them like chapter and section headings in a book where the first chapter (<h2>) starts right after the title of the book (<h1>). The h2 tag should generally be a description of the h1 tag."

It appears to me that their use of Heading Tags is dictated by their design formatting and layout requirements for the demo home page.

Yes the theme provides an area in the WP Admin panel - Theme Options> Typography ...to set Heading tag and Paragragh text font types/sizes etc but not knowing CSS it seem this is what Im restricted to using.

So my question is - IF I too use various Heading Tags in an unstructured way on the home page of my site in order to get or acheive the right Design/ Layout/ Font sizes etc then...

DO YOU KNOW IF THIS WILL IMPACT THE SITES HOME PAGE SEO GOALS?????

Note - The SERP SEO Page Tile and H1 Tag will include target Keywords etc...so Im really talking about using H2-H6 Tags

Cheers
Rick
