Anyone familiar with getting rid of SEOquake

I like to have SEOquake for research, but I get a sorry error from Google too often and I can't use Google for a short time, which really interferes with my research which is Google intensive.

I disabled SEOquake here a bit ago, restarted my browser and the search stuff was still there in searches I had done which reloaded upon starting Firefox again. But new searches gave me the same sorry message for robot inquiries or what ever it was.

So I removed the bot entirely, I thought. The search data from SEOquake was still there, as was the sorry error in a new search.

WTH is going on? Why can't I get rid of this plugin? The little icon is still in my browser heading. I thought I was supposed to be able to click on that and turn it off. Or maybe it is only the one at the bottom right, which I don't have.

What in God's name can I do to be able to do my research? Please someone help. SEOquake has not responded.
