I have a site that has some low trust flow and high citation flow backlinks to it. Would it be beneficial to my site rankings to remove the sites that have very low trust flow and high citation flow? Or would it harm the site

I don't think there will be any problem with low citation flow backlinks, as you have high citation flow backlinks. If you feel to remove those low citation flow backlinks, just disavow it! It's in webmaster tools. It will helps you.

If you are judging whether or not to remove links based on CF and TF, you are doing it wrong. Google does not give a rat's ass about CF and TF.

Okay than what should I be judging it on?

Just look at the link pages. Are the pages full of junk? Are the sites full of junk? Are they just crappy profile links or are they well-placed links within content? Are the pages where the links appear relevant to your site?

That is the kind of stuff to pay attention to, not some third party metrics that have NOTHING to do with how Google views the links.

You start removing stuff based on TF, CF, DA, PA, or any other BS, you are likely to end up removing some good links.
