Changing Domain and hosting

Hi,

I am changing domain name and hosting of my website. I want to suggestion of members about the thing I should keep in mind so that these changes don't affect my search engine rankings much.

Both the websites are WordPress based. I am planning to add 301 redirect for each page and post of old website to pages and posts of new website.

For reference old website : Img Inn | Images can speak better than words.

    Well for one, make sure the host you switch to is fast and is reliable. Downtime kills SEO ranking. If you apply your 301 redirects you should be good I would imagine. Make sure your new domain is relevant to the content you are moving to the new web hosting provider.

    What do you mean by 'changing domain name?'

    If you're changing domainname.com to anything else, you're not changing the domain name, you're changing the domain.

    If you have domainname.com and it's called My Domain Name (when you open the home page or some other page, at the top), then, it depends on what you're changing from to what you're changing to... Some changes are bad, some are indifferent, some are good.

    Changing hosting, make sure you transfer all the files and databases.
