  • Its extremely rare to find pages where you can submit articles on edu or gov sites. If somebody knows a way he could do that, he probably won't share it, atleast not publicly. But sometimes you can find pages that allow comments. You can find them yourself using the following code on google:

    site:.edu "leave a comment"+"keyword inside"

    site:.gov "leave a comment"+"keyword inside"
  • Are there any restrictions what and where you can post on .edu and .gov links ?
  • Don't waste your time. They hold no special value.
  • Don't waste your time. I've tried that before. You don't need them. Whether you get backlinks from .edu sites or from other sites, they all are the same. Yes, .edu sites might rank well in Google but it didn't carry some kind of magical power to boost your ranking because it will be hard to get your website link placed in pages which is loved by Google, ie the homepage.
  • I agree. I have a list of about 30 .edu domains I can set up entire blogs on.... the result? Nothing special. I wasted a few days writing some good content in case they ever get reviewed, but I got no major ranking boosts or anything. I just used them to create a little bit of diversity once I realized that they weren't going to be useful
  • Try creating content that a .EDU domain would want to link to rather than spamming their site with a comment link which most likely will be a nofollow.

I just scored a PA 48 DA 82 EDU backlink by creating content they want to link to directly.
