Keywords are Ranked but Not Getting Any Traffic

I am new to SEO and still a lot more to learn. Today my question is that I have a lot of keywords ranked in google.us top 5 positions. All keywords have search volume of 5000 to 10000 per month according to semrush.com keyword analysis but my site is getting only 30 to 40 visitors per day. Can you help me in how to increase the organic traffic for my site?

  • Start using Google analytic as it show the accurate tracking details.
  • Increase the rank position of target keywords, when your keywords rank in #1 you started to get more and more clicks.
  • That's very good. If the traffic really is around 160 - 340 per day, and you're not even #1... You're getting a fair share of the traffic.

    Note that these numbers are usually estimates, and they're often there for some other purpose (such as selling ads).

  • Well, there can be many reasons, but mainly, this happens, when you titles are not catchy enough, that you get very low CTR from search, people does not click at your website as they find other sites title more worthy clicking. If this happens, having your site in top 3 will not fetch any traffic except few visits.

  • Hi, If you are talking about the website mentioned in your signature, then I must say it only shows 5 Keywords in Semrush website, I just checked it. I am in the same boat as you are, I am having same kind of website for whatsapp status, quotes and messages, i have total 300 keywords ranked in SEM but still traffic is low, i think we both have really long way to go.

  • Do these keywords showup ads? if so how many. This can be one reason why you might not be receiving traffic.,
  • The #5 spot will on average yield about 5% of total traffic.
