XML Sitemap shows up keyword search

I just noticed today going through searches that Goog indexed my XML sitemap. I don;t know why nor what to do to fix. If I type in only certain keywords it appears. Is there something to maybe add to the robot.txt file? I use Weebly so I will have to work within webmaster tools. This is what appears below. I have seen for others in past but it doesn't need to be on search. Any thoughts of what to do greatly appreciated

    • I am needing to find the answer to not have google index the sitemap such as--
I type in wholesale foil screen printing little rock and this is what shows up as of yesterday. Only certain keywords however. So how does one stop this? In robots txt f http://www.cspcontractscreenprinting.com

I wouldn't even worry about an xml file being indexed unless it ranked for a traffic keyword. At least you know Google is looking at the xml file since it's indexed.

    • I should organically show for keyword wholesale foil screen printing little rock. Now all I see is the sitemap.xml
I'd rather it not show if possible

  • Why you need to worry by the way if Google has indexed your XML sitemap ? If still you have issues try demoting it from search results in Google Webmaster Tools and provide sitemap reference in Robots.txt instead.

    • I did work today, did a fetch goog on all pages and it is now gone. I have only seen one other site have xml on search so maybe it just gets through goog algorithm.
Thanks for all the help from all
