Hi All

Could somebody kindly tell me why my sites get too many hits from the below mentioned links.

/?from=http://www.traffic2cash.xyz/

/?from=http://share-buttons.xyz/

/?from=http://site-40113580-1.snip.tw/

How to stop these hits?

Thanks

This is referral spam. Those companies are trying to get your attention so you visit their sites. Google "referral spam"
You can stop these referral spam from google analytic.
    Just Follow these steps
Go to admin section in google analytic > then select filter option> now configure your filter> Filter name -traffic2cash.xyz > Filter type - Custom> Filter field- Campaign source - >Filter Pattern - same as filter name then save.. now problem solved.

What joomdev said is correct. They just want you to visit their sites to see why they're linking to you...but they really aren't. The funny thing is that they may not actually even be visiting your site at all. Their scripts just talk to Google Analytics directly to claim that they went to your site from theirs, but they do it without even visiting your site.

You're right. This ghost referral system is very horrific. All credit goes to Google analytic for creating such process to stop these spams.

Guys do NOT bother with filters! You will be constantly updating them, the spam will always come from new domains and you will be forced to keep constantly creating filters to combat them.

Use Google tag manager to tag visitors with a cookie, then use a ONE filter in analytics to only show users who have been tagged with that cookie - aka, they are a REAL person!

Thanks. Can you share a URL so that I can find more details on this. I am not sure how to do this "cookie-aka". Thanks
