    SEO is a parasitic industry that need to react to whatever Google (or some other SE) does. I haven't got a clue what kind of surprises Google has coming.

    We've probably already seen the industry expand about as far as it can go. There's already a lot of competent agencies that can do everything IM related on enterprise level. There's one-man shops from third world countries. And everything in between.

      SEO companies now have grown to have hundreds of employees. It's scope reaches from marketing, web development up to HR. I know there are already hundreds, maybe thousands of SEO companies all over the globe and I don't see any chance of it slowing down. The ideology maybe the same for everyone but the process of acquiring goals are almost different for each business. Processes always change or better yet, improve. So the more changes on processes the more companies have to adapt. Hopefully for the better.

      I still see the industry to expand. More jobs and more territories to tackle.

        There is always a demand of SEO as companies would want their website to be on the first page in local Google Search Result. I believe that SEO will still be growing for the next few years but it will be more competitive than before

      There's a company that I won't mention that utilizes about 100 employees to create and market a single infographic. These guys are no third world chumps either, they are all top tier.

    Yes I also think that there will always be a need for seo services although there are quite many that offers these services. SoIi guess the future looks bright for those who is working with SEO.

    I'm also work as SEOer like you and i do love it too. as my opinion, this work will develop more and more because Google develops dramatically in the future. Our mission is to always update everything relating to SEO to adapt to this job,

    I don't see the demand for SEO going down anytime soon. The tactics for getting the rankings may change as Google brings in new rules and policies. But the SEO industry is unlikely to be dying anytime soon is my guess.
