What does a huge number of Ezinearticles and hub pages and Squidoo lenses really mean when you are doing your research on the competition. Let's say you have a keyword that gives you only ezine articles or hub pages in the top 10 when you look it up in google. Does this mean it's easy to rank for the keyword???

  • It means there are not much strong competitors on that particular keywords and more chances for your site visibility, if doing proper marketing work carefully.
  • It means it will be easier to rank than if you were competing with wikipedia and five other big sites. However that is only half the story. You must determine two other things:
    - is the search volume worth going after?
    - what is the commercial value of the keyword (buying intent)?
  • i agree with adrewaff, it means the competition is low, and could be easy to rank over them, with good on-page SEO and smart link building of course!
  • Ok Thank you guys. I was suspecting that. I'm a member of some solid programs including Peter's that generate very solid backlinks.
  • Yes, as all said here, I am sure the competition is very low for those, then only your pages from EZA and other places are on top.
