I have always wanted to learn how to become an SEO expert. Is there a certain path that one should take? I feel like SEO is always changing so there is not an exact science to it, which has always made it hard to start from step 1 for me. I mean I know all about link building, on page seo with meta tags and keywords. I know about keyword research and how content is king! I just wish there was a guide that was more clear as to what steps to take you know? How did you go about learning SEO and have you used it successfully?

You already got it dude... Now you just need to do it so you know how it feels.

Most of us did what you did... Read the internet forums...Read Googles input.. Read how others did it... And weighed all current advice to come up with an idea of how SEO works.

I find it easy to get my desired pages on the tops spots or at least the first page in google.

What does google want? The best page.... And what does google need? A well optimized page.

I Give them that... I keep working on the page to make it as best I can... I let google know its good and updated... I keep it optimized... Ranking usually tend to follow.

I made a new page a few months back about GhostBusters cereal www.snackmemory.com/ghostbusters-cereal

At first it did not rank well. So I expanded it. It still didn't rank well. So I improved it more. It was on the third page now. I looked at other sites and found interesting info on the topic and updated it again. Then came up with a good idea to add something of use and updated it again. Engagement time climbed, bounce rate reduced, content amount climbed, update freshness was good, now my GhostBusters cereal page is on the first page of google a few month later.

Well done here. This as close to a guide you can find. I'ts like a walkthrough already.

Every marketer has their unique strategies. Hence, you won't find anyone who will give everything. (We'll unless their paid). All the help given are enough to give the newbies the right mindset, the right tools and where to get the next answer. So it's pretty much trial and error all the way.

That's why I really like this post. It has the right ingredient's for nay newbie to start cooking.

      Goodluck.

Ouch dude... Those are very hard to do on page improvement with.

And that's because why? You guessed it!... Almost pure duplicate content and often sparse at that. So how do you win a SEO fight? By proving people want to use your site. By getting them to go in large amounts and link and share it. You cant do that using SEO... You need to do that being going viral via non SEO (normal sharing)... The SEO will come after via backlinks and stuff from that sharing.

You will need to find a way to improve the content of your site. Or find a way to get people to want to go to it another way, thus boosting its SEO score via engagement and backlinks.

I suggest if you can, keep updating your product information pages with new stuff, reviews, new info, commentary, supplemental info.
