URL Keyword optimization

Ok guys, I am raring to go to start applying what I have learned in the courses. Starting from the top with URL's, from what I understand the HOME page url should only contain the domain name but each other page should have www.Yourdomain.com/targetkeyword is that right? If yes, so I would need to use only one best kw for each page's service but how long should that kw be please?

  • Hi Mike, Yes, You should use www.Yourdomain.com/targetkeyword format in your inner pages. And you have to decide which service you are going to taget on that page. According to that target max search volume keyword in long tail format on that page. And as per my suggestion, you should cover your keyword under 25charcters. That is the best character limit which is consider by Google and Other Search Engines. Thanks, Abhishek

  • Hi Mike, http://pcandnetservices.com/services/virus-repair/ is having proper naming style and other thing what Google and other search engines require. But when I am checking other pages like: http://pcandnetservices.com/data-recovery/ those are not correct. So 1st make them in this style http://pcandnetservices.com/services/data-recovery/. And when I am checking you website at that time your website speed is very slow. So make it fast and transfer your domain from http://pcandnetservices.com/ to http://www.pcandnetservices.com/ this is the right format and it will help you in indexing your pages faster.     • In the WP dashboard and trying to edit the url for the data recovery page by typing in "services/data-recovery" into the Permalink and click OK it ends up showing as in the attached screenshot? Any ideas why please or how I can fix that url?

  • Yes, since installing the new theme last week, it seemed slow so I will look into the reason for that. I will look into the other domain name issues you've mentioned now, thanks.
