      No problem!

I think someone else posted a written version of the video (i.e. explained the problem) last week or something but i totally forgot about it and was wondering why my two new blogs weren't getting indexed when they both had good backlinks already!

So decided to just throw up a quick video before i went to bed!

Sorry if its kinda quite for some people but i was using my built in mic for this one as i really couldn't be bothered to plugin my portable one. Plus you might be able to hear my laptop fan as ive got alot of programs running at the moment and ithe laptops been sitting on my bed rather than a desk so gets hotter.

That's interesting! Thanks for the heads up. I wonder why Wordpress would do such as thing.

Im not sure if its wordpress themselves or if its just certain web hosts!

I know that hostgator has the problem but i can't go around and test every single one!

As I explained in another thread, WordPress didn't "do such as thing".

It was just one of those things. A fix was incorporated late in the 2.7 line for another problem, and it inadvertently changed the behavior of the checkbox that's on the installation screen.

It wasn't on purpose, and it wasn't malicious, and it'll be fixed in 2.8.5.

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked a few of my new blogs and no issues there, but will be on the lookout for this bug.

Still the 2.8.5 update wont be for a while and so the current problem still exists now!

But thanks for the explanation in more detail

          That's good.

On my old blogs that i updated there was no problem, it only seemed to be on new ones!
