You can find a edu sites by searching in Google with terms like
site:.edu
site:.edu “blog”
site:.edu “forums”
site:.edu “comments” -

Yes this is the way to find websites where you can post your backlinks. But this is really hard to post backlinks now a days. 10 out of 1 has option to post backlinks. But you have to work hard to find them for posting baclinks. You can hire a freelancer for this task too. Fiverr is really good for thins kind of small tasks, You can get great services for five dollars only.

you get junk on Fiverr.
If you are running a real business, build its reputation. When you gather those junk links from Fiverr, sooner or later you will need someone to clean them up for you.

Forget about that edu and gov stuff. It's a scam perpetuated by unscrupulous link sellers. It's very likely that you have snowball's change in hell to get a good link from an edu or gov site.

And why would you want one even if they weren't BS? Almost all of those sites are by definition in the US of A, and you seem to be from India.

Just do what the guys above said.

I think you might be wasting your time, but if you really do want to get some links like these, you're going to have to earn it. What is your website? How is it related to the organisation?

Your best bet with something like this is to probably research the websites using broken link checker tools and then contacting them to see if they will replace that old link with one of yours.

Don't hold your breath, though.

Instead of posting your site to some specific site, create niche relevant backlinks. Niche relevant backlinks are way too effective comparing to general links. Google also likes backlinks from niche relevant sites.

I dont think that matters a lot. Important is getting traffic from authority websites that matches your niche. relevance to the niche is also very important when it comes to backlinks.
