How long should I need for the 1st page of a new site to be indexed by Google? I thought Google was real quick at indexing Wordpress sites. 3 days has elapsed.

    Very general question. It can not be measured with the time, it all depends on what kind of work you do for it.

    Yes, it's depend of your niche and competition. But you will need to work on your On Page and Off Page SEO.

      If you're waiting longer than 30 minutes you're waiting too long (Fetch as Google).

  • WordPress doesn't make it any quicker or slower. Usually Google indexes sites in couple of days.

    Make sure that you don't have the robots.tx "block" on. It's in the Settings -> Reading page.
  • You should try to create a sitemap and submit it to Google. This will speed things up.
    Or you could go to GWT and use the "fetch as Google" tool.
