I am having issues in solving this. Any help is appreciated.

I have a client I am trying to help out and I have redirect question I can't seem to find teh best solution for.

They have a domains and hosting at GoDaddy.

In the old days they used firstdomain and it was pointed to a folder on their server.

They did some link building and such and all was well.

Next they added a new domain to the mix secondkeyworddomain and simply forwarded it to the first domain using the GoDaddy domain manager.

Next they wanted the second domain to be the primary so now all are unforwarded and point to the same domain.

What is the best practice of 301 redirects using HTACCESS files to make it all one happy SEO website.

I am thinking:
firstdomain point to blank folder with a HTACESS file that has 301 redirect to new. Include both www and non-www redirects

secondkeyworddomain points to actual website files on server.

This would give them all the link juice to the second domain correct?

Cheers and thanks

I'm a bit confused about firstdomain, seconddomain and folder, but basically once they have made up their minds about the one place they want the visitors to go, they unforward that address and 301 all the others to it. That's all that needs to be done. The SE's will follow the 301 and pass the link juice, PR and SERP ranking on.
