Hi. Before I go on will introduce myself. My name is Phil and am currently at uni studying Computing. Only recently got into online affiliates. Hope to stick around and get to know some people!

Anyway... I am currently ranking 3rd in google.co.uk for the search term "Free PS3 Slim". The site has only been online for 4 days. Is that good? Also ranking on 2nd/3rd page on google.com.

This is my first time doing something like this as i've never had the time before.

I have been working pretty hard on the SEO, how long do you think it should take to get number 1 spot? Hoping it won't take too much longer then going to start working on other keywords too. Any sugesstions for realistic keywords?

    Is it something4free.net?

It's not bad, but according to the Google keyword tool, hardly anyone in the States search for it by exact terms and 210 globally. Are you using that keyword term in your page title as well? Very basic stuff.

If you can find higher searched keyword terms, invest about $20 into using a press release service. You can rank on page 1 for up to 5 keywords within a matter of minutes. Press releases count as news and is not part of the 10 listings. However, it will then look like there's 11 listings.

Of course, this also depends on how saturated the market is to be on the first page. In most cases, it will make it there within a few days if not the first several hours.

No one can tell you how long it takes to get to the number 1 spot. It's all a numbers game. Don't concentrate on that. Just worry about getting more content, but most importantly, more backlinks.

    Good luck.

Hi - I agree with Kevin - go for the backlinks. Check out a WSO deal from Angela. It's good.

Oh, okay, so the ranking is in your part of the world. From the US, you're number 57.

I have seen plenty of backlink deals and other things but not sure which one to go for. I have about £20/$33 to spend at the moment, can anyone recommend something useful to spend it on?

I can't remember what the price is for either Paul or Angela's, but I think they're like $10 US a month I think. Don't quote me on that. And it takes me about an hour to do 15 sites. I'm sure I can do 20 an hour though, now that I've got a system down. But I won't find out because I'm outsourcing that to someone else.

Thanks again for the quick reply. Was just looking at both of them and they look really good. Would you recommend subscribing to both of them?

Not initially. I suggest going with just one. You get 120 links with Paul alone. So if you have the time to implement it, go for it. If not, what's the point?

Thanks will go with just one for now then. I have plenty of time to implement it so that's not a worry!

Well, by time, I'm saying it takes quite a bit to do it. Optimally, I can do 20 links/sites an hour. A lot of outsource take 3-4 hours for the same number of sites. So depending on how fast you are, that's how many sites you can have done. That's why I said if you have time. And now that you've posted enough, you can press on the thanks button, lol. Enjoy.
