White Hat and Black Hat SEO?

At the risk if pissing people off again, there is no such thing as "whitehat".

You're either optimizing your sites, and breaking the rules, or you aren't.

If you're already building links to your sites in an effort to rank higher, they're "greyhat".

As for what that person may have been talking about, there's 3 levels of SEO that's spouted off these days.

Whitehat -- also known as content marketing.

Greyhat -- manipulating your whitehat content to rank higher using strategies that may, or may not get picked off.

Blackhat -- manipulating content to rank highly using short term (possibly long term) strategies. Some blackhat stuff is downright illegal, other stuff is just looked down upon.

It is the combination of white hot and black hat technique there are more technique to increase your page rank,the think is how you done follow the rule or Brock the rule that sit...

In my opinion:
Grey hat: As technical combination "black hat" and "white hat" in order to achieve better results than "white hat". Difficult to distinguish between movements of the SEO website. Better technical results "white hat". Risk of being "banned" low, but also one of cases unsafe when applying this technique.
Most of the SEO service company or individual to do SEO for website SEOers commonly applied techniques "gray hat" more, because if applicable technical "white hat", will have a longer time, that expenditure fees are not allowed.

If applicable technical "gray hat" improper, the website can be listed in the following cases:
+ Fall in Sandbox
+ Tag your website does not appear in the search results in one long
+ Home not indexed in search results
+ Tag quickly relegated

They're not techniques. Just metaphors for some very broad classes of SEO stuff.

There's a lot of stuff that's on a the gray area. Might be even most of SEO.

In my opinion, Grey hat SEO is a technique that lies between white hat and black hat SEO. As I recently have read, grey hat SEO is a practise of using technically legal methods to improve a website rankings, but which are ethically dubious, and could one day become black hat.

Grey hat is kind of inbetween white and black. Honestly I dont think there is any fixed definition for grey hat. Why bother? Just go with white hat techniques.

Yes, I have heard about "grey-hat SEO" in the SEO communities. lol

As a digital marketing expert I didn't hear about the Purple Hat SEO, In my knowledge there are three types of SEO is present they are:
1. White hat
2. Black hat
3. Grey hat
All digital marketing and SEO experts do their work by using these three techniques as a base.

Let me loosely help

White Hat: Playing around with your title and meta tags but not spamming
Grey Hat: As above but link building from "relevant website", buying links
Black Hat: Keyword stuffing, SEO Nuke, White text on white background
Illegal Hat: Hacking website sql injections, mass html uploads (Some twat did that to me)

Stop wearing hats and build a sustainable business and mix it all up.

Google update every time and saying about black hat methods to stop and penlize the site, users are still asking about about black hat Technics. always use white hat seo to build your seo rank in google and other search engines

Don't obsess over meaning, do what you feel you know better. Some people are naturally born writers and churn out great content, and love networking and being social, so they become white hatters.

Other people are not fulfilled by writing, so they use blackhat methods.

I probably will white hat as well, I think it is safer even if it will take more time, google watching very careful now

Following webmaster tool is guides and doing a seo, that mean don't violate the Google webmaster guidelines. That is White hat method.

Black hat is direct opposite for white hat method, cheating Google and generating back links in a opposite way, that is called Black hat method.

White hat SEO is the technique that involves the use of proper SEO techniques with the use of good practice methods in order to achieve good search engine rankings. White hat seo techniques include quality content, doing research, keyword analysis, Meta tags, quality backlinks and link building. This is approved by the search engines.
Black hat SEO is the unethical SEO technique that is not approved by the search engines. This technique is used for improving and getting higher rankings. This may result to the site getting de-indexed or penalized. Black hat seo techniques includes keyword stuffing, hidden texts and links, blog content spamming.
It is recommended not to use Black hat SEO and follow White hat SEO techniques.

Do SEO with follow Google rules called white hat see.

Everyone can make his/her own rules for SEO but don't give any particular names like grey hat SEO,purple hat SEO etc.

Stick with whitehat, Google will always find out, its only a matter of time.
