I created two blogs. OK one was on Blogger, the other was on Blogdrive. Please remember that blog drive does not pass on any link juice. It nofollows all your links on posts. I created two nonsense words and two web pages optimized for the nonsense word.

Place the word in title, heading, body copy, picture name, ALT TEXT, and hyperlink.

I created a post on blogger with nonsense A, and a post on blog drive with nonsense B.

Well, to make a long story short, Google indexed nonsense word A in a few hours, and put up the blog post from blogger. The next day the web page optimized to score on nonsense A was on top of the listing.

OK as for blog drive, the nonsense word B still does not show up on Google or any other big search engine.

Interesting - I've seen Google favor some sites for a quick index, but looks like Google isn't the only one according to your experiment. Keep us posted here, as far as when it ends up showing up on Google, and also how high it ranks for that nonsense B - From my experience it should rank lower than nonsense A, since it's coming from a less powerful domain.

    Sincerely,

      Hi seobro,

I applaud your efforts at testing, however your data sample size is way too small to draw a valid conclusion.

Search engines aren't watching our activities in real-time. They have their own schedule as to how often they crawl a particular website. How quickly they find and index your post is partly due to luck. If you post something just moments before the next crawl you will get indexed very quickly, however if you post just moments after, you will be waiting until the next crawl cycle.

I have had many sites in the past that was indexed in less than a week. However, I still have this one page blog (blogger) that still hasn't been indexed - it's been out there for six weeks. I should be putting a couple links to it to let google know that it's there.
